Pear Green Leaf WIP

Here is an update to my latest colored pencil piece. I feel like its coming along nicely, I started lots of blending with ZestIt and getting the layers and the colours down. I wasnt sure how the viens were going to work or how dark i was going to go with the leaf so this is why i am onto this now. I should have done some more on my background first, but i am working all over atm.

This week i have also been continuing on with my life drawing, i attending another workshop in which i did shockingly. With no success at all during the whole 3 hour session, i instead accepted the fact i was having a bad day and tried to spend the whole time taking mental notes and remembering all that would  sink in for next time, sure enough my session last Friday (2 days later) proved to have been a success with be being able to recall my instruction and get some better proportions and the whole figure down. Practice Practice practice.  and i cant say again how important this kind of drawing is for training your eye. It really helps to attend a few classes with a good instructor.

On a personal note: I have had a really bad cold for the past month so i have really been struggling with keeping up in all areas, i am hoping things are on the mend now, even though i am still coughing terribly. So sorry for not keeping up with my blog.

Stories of Inspirational Women

Sprout the Life you Love

While i am here i thought i would highlight again this book by Sarah Prout “Sprout the Life you Love”, which is full of inspiring women and their stories.  I started reading this a while ago and had to put it down, i wasn’t quite in the right mind frame to accept it and it wasn’t really helping me at that point.

Lately tho, I have started reading this again in bits and pieces and its such an inspiring book, when you have been through a major life upheaval it helps you to remember that there are so many other women and people going through stuff, its how you come out of it and choose to live your life that will make all the difference for you to move forward and get to where you want to be.

Sarah  has just released her latest book “The Millionairess League” - which promises to be full of more inspirational stories about women, i cant wait to read more about it all. Check out the video she has posted via the link above or via the link on my sidebar to hear all about it.
