WHAT WE COVER
This workshop is for people who already have a basic understanding of coloured pencil techniques, you may have taken my previous workshops and/or would like to explore more ways of working with pencils in more depth and how to create a full coloured pencil artwork from start to finish in a realistic painterly style.
This workshop is designed to allow you to learn some of the more advanced techniques but also to help you progress in the style and the subject matter you wish to work in. Having all day for this workshop shop allows us to move through the various stages of creating an artwork that we do not have time for in a shorter workshop but will allow me to spend time with individual stages and people and guide you through them.
It will include working through the whole workshop process from start to finish including initial sketch, layering, blending, burnishing and mixing colours and complimentary colours. An option for this class is to also specifically cover subject matter such as skintones in portraits, fur on animals, working with supports like drafting film, and creating various textures common in artworks such as in still life. Please let me know on booking if you have a preference.
In this workshop we will work from a reference if you wish to bring along your own or chose from a selection supplied.
Also included are some take home resource materials on topics covered throughout the day.
Please note: It is advised that you have some experience with strokes, layering, colours, pencils in order to take this workshop. Please see the Saturday workshop if you are new to coloured pencil art.
